Ellen Davis, Ph.D.

Dr. Davis has doctorate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Miami. She completed her clinical internship at the University of Miami counseling center. She later began working at the Renfrew Center – Philadelphia as an outpatient therapist and soon became the Clinical Director of the Renfrew Center's inpatient programs. Dr. Davis has been interviewed about eating disorders by national media including ABC News and the New York Times Magazine and has presented extensively on the topic to many professional groups. Dr. Davis's private practice focuses exclusively on eating disorders and anxiety disorders in children, adolescents, and families.


Dr. Alex Gonçalves, Ph.D. focusing exclusively on eating disorders and anxiety disorders in children, adolescents, and families

Alex Gonçalves, Ph.D.

Dr. Gonçalves received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and his masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Miami. He completed his clinical internship at the counseling center of the Pennsylvania State University. After his internship he stayed on with the counseling center to coordinate the center's research efforts and do crisis intervention work. Dr. Gonçalves later worked at the Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment's outpatient addictions program as a therapist. He then worked as the Clinical Coordinator in charge of Eagleville Hospital's dual disorders hospital level of care. Dr. Gonçalves also worked at the Renfrew Center as a consultant where he developed and implemented treatment for women with eating disorders and co-occurring chemical dependence.
